25. Past 6 months
It has been 6 months since I came Bhutan. I am used to living here and have room to think about something now. I look back on the happy time lately when I have spent with my friends at JICA trraining center. I was filled with joyful expectation before I took part in training. Actually, I worried whether I adjusted to new life, followed the class (langage) and passed final test or not. However, I worried about nothing. I could spend plenty of quality time with them and make lots of friends.
ブータンに来て6か月が過ぎました。
ここでの生活にも慣れ、活動とは関係のない事を考える余裕もようやくできてきました。最近は訓練生活での思い出を振り返る機会が多くなってきました。訓練参加前は、期待で胸が一杯でしたが、実際のところは語学や新しい環境での生活などに少し不安を抱えていましたが・・・（退所前に皆テストに合格しなければ派遣は延期されます）。でも結局杞憂でした。全てが今では良い思い出で、多くの友達もできました。
I sometimes wonder what they are doing now. We can know how they do activities and how they feel about each host country with Facebook. It is a covinient tool in terms of sharing information but I don't feel real. One friend thought of a good idea that the message card wolud be sent to all volunteers around the world. This project is just getting started. She said that she sent it to someone in Bhutan. I'm so excited that how many people can get it. What a dreamy story!!
時々、彼らが今何しているのかなと気になることがあります。
現在はFacebookを通じて、彼らが今、どこで、何をしているのか瞬時に理解する事ができます。SNSはとても便利ですねー。
一人の友人がメッセージカードを世界中に派遣されている同士（約150名）に送るという素敵なアイディアを考えてくれました。メッセージを書いたら次の国に郵送するといいった感じではないかと理解しています。
一見、誰しも考えそうなことだけれど、中々行動に移すという所までは至らないことが多いのではないのだろうか。
最初はブータンに送るとのこと・・・ちゃんと届くかな。
夢のある話です。
She stays at Cameroun as a environmental teacher for two years. I agree with her. I feel that a letter, greeting card or something like that are better in expressing feeling and soul than e-mail or SNS. I guess that it is a little long for us to stay foreign country for two years. So, it is very improtant to waite for something joyful even if that is a trifle thing.
彼女は今カメルーンで環境教育をしています。
私もこういうの好きで、SNSやe-mailにはない魅力が手紙やグリーティングカードにあると思っています。それに2年間は少し長く感じる期間なので、そういう些細な楽しみはとても重要な意味を持っているのではないでしょうか。
In the end of June, I went to thymphu all the way from Bhumthang in order to attend the JICA meeting. It takes 12 hours to get there from Bumthang. Long journey! While moving, we had the unfortunete luck to have a flat tire on our bus. It happens in Bhutan. We arrived there in safety in the night.
6月末にティンプーで隊員総会があるのでブムタンからはるばる首都へ。
12時間という長旅が我々をいつも苦しめる泣。
途中でタイヤはパンクするし、移動中はハプニングが絶えません。
朝6時半に出発し、我々がついたのは結局夜の7時ごろでした。
I saw my friends for the first time in age. Some of them made a presentation of their activities. There were some volunteers I met for the first time. The most impressive presenters were the full-term people. I guess that they have a certain thing in common. They have finished their speech with a smaile. I think that will probably arise from a sense of fulfillment, accomplishment and relief. I also wish I could spend plenty of quality time with Bhutanese people.
半年ぶりに友人に会いました。中には、はじめましての方も多い。
先輩隊員の報告はとても自分のためになるものが多く、充実した時間を過ごすことができた。最も印象に残ったのは任期をほぼ終えた先輩隊員の発表でした。彼らに共通して言えることは発表終了後の笑顔です。これらの笑顔は、決して良いことばかりではない2年間という限られた期間での活動の充実感や達成感、そして安堵感からくるものではないのかと私は思いました。私も、ブータン人と充実した2年間を過ごすことができればな・・切に思う。
Thymphu is a big town compared with local area. There are lots of restaurants and shops. Especially, I enjoyed the American and Korean food (Pizza, Burger, Sandwich and Samgyeopsal) as well as Bhutanese food. This is because I hardly ever eat them. We can get what we want in Thymphu. Amazing!
ティンプーは地方と比較したらそれはもう大都会です。
多くのレストランやお店が並んでいます。私は普段食べることができないピザやハンバーガー、サンドウィッチ、サムギョプサル（韓国料理）を大いに楽しみました。
